Zipz Bear Lake: Dive into Delicious Burgers and Family Fun

We love Zips, but I simply must warn others. Do not get their gluten free bun! It is horrible. My husband and I both took it off and ate the patty on its own. Imagine the texture of dry sand. It crumpled when I took a bite and the taste was awful.

Read the reviews and chose Zips over other places based on the reviews and it did not live up to the hype with the quality of the food. We came when it was not busy after lunch and had quick service, great seating and loved the games. Excellent service and fun atmosphere. But after having other raspberry shakes at neighboring restaurants (two different ones) it was a let down1 skimpy on the raspberries and we tried 4 variations plus two other non-raspberry options. Fries were dry and the so-called fry sauce was too BBQ-y for this Utah-Idaho girl’s taste! Coconut shrimp was too breaded and overcooked. My kids and husband were not overly impressed with their burgers, pulled pork or grilled cheese. I am so sad about our quality of food since so many people loved it so much. I did love the ample seating and all the games to entertain while we waited for food. And the honey mustard sauce was really good- it helped moisten those fries! So it did not live up to the hype. Onto another food joint tomorrow as we eat our way around Fish Haven and Garden City!

Awesome burger and shake shop on the west shore of Bear Lake. The food and vibes were so fun. Don’t miss this place!

Great little gem!! The food was delicious!! There's quite a bit of seating, and everything is easy to find and well organized. The outdoor area is pretty neat. There is giant jenga, corn hole, and lots of other yard activities, which really makes coming with kids easy and fun.

I’m not going to say this place is to die for, but for only a few options in bear lake, this is the one we come to every year! I’ve had things I don’t love, and I’ve had things I love! The sticky crispy chicken sandwich is so good! Their fries are crispy and great! Their shakes are not my favorite—I would go somewhere else for shakes. It’s super busy here so expect to wait for seats (but they tend to open up quickly).

Worth the hype and the wait! Food was delicious! “Bear Lake Muenster Burger” and the “Cheesesteak” were great! My kids loved the chicken and fries in the kids “Chicken Nuggets & Fries” The shakes were good. The line looked intimidating as it wrapped down the sidewalk. However, it went fast. It took 30 min from the time we got in line to when we got our food. There is plenty of seating, and yard games to keep you entertained while you wait. We are excited to come back!

We were so happy we ate here! The Raspberry lemon shake was divine! And we really enjoyed the chipotle chicken sandwich and coconut shrimp (would totally recommend both). The environment is playful with fun theming, funny signage, and lots of yard games. We also liked the covered/shaded seating and that they had a lot of sauce and seasoning options. Do not go to Zipz unless you want to be disappointed by every other food place around bear lake. Once we tried Zipz we never looked back! THE. FOOD. IS. SUBLIME. We eat at Zipz EVERY SINGLE DAY that we are at bear lake. I would highly recommend the Bear Lake Munster Burger & Honey Chipotle Chicken Sandwich (Crispy Option). They are our absolute favorites!!!! Zipz is half the reason we come to bear lake! I count down the days to when we’ll come back to bear lake again so I can once again relive the heavenly experience that is Zipz food. I don’t want to over hype Zipz but it’s just that delicious. If you’re reading this review and trying to decide which place to eat at Bear Lake, go no further. This is the place. This is the spot. Also unpopular opinion: their double fudge brownie shake with cookie dough and oreo added is the best shake in bear lake.
